PRESS ARCHIVE:

+ "Filing for Divorce", The Stranger, Sept 8, 2005
"Feveyear's audio aesthetic is particularly well-suited to the Divorce's sound. He has a tendency to focus on deeply outlining a band's dynamics and thoughtfully separating each instrument with a great deal of precision and clarity. With that as a base, the end result is a big, bright-toned sound that also retains noticeable texture and nuance--a technique that works particularly well for power-pop and hard-rock bands.... Since the Divorce's brand of melodic, angular rock with pop flourishes requires a delicate balance of swagger and restraint, the Feveyear-produced outcome is a document of a band firing on every cylinder."

+ "Seattle Bands: Slender Means," Seattle Post-Intelligencer, August 25, 2005
"Neon and Ruin, the band's debut on Mt. Fuji, was released Tuesday. It was produced by Martin Feveyear (Presidents of the USA, Mudhoney, Screaming Trees) and sparkles like a freshly washed kitchen floor."

+ "Live Wire: Cocky is the New Subtle," The Stranger, April 29, 2004
"Produced by Martin Feveyear, The Girls takes much of the band's older material and gives it a new coat of audio gloss. The songs are more punched out with extra-crunchy guitar riffs and detailed with hearty backing choruses that reverberate like football chants while handclaps and keyboard effects hit in lightning strikes throughout the album..."

+ "That 'Fuck Yeah!' Quality: Martin Feveyear's Jupiter Studios," The Stranger, April 25, 2002
"Aside from good humor, Feveyear strives to pull genuine performances out of his clients. 'I get a kick out of making artists feel they've got something they're really proud of — that they feel represents them.' He also prefers to lead artists by encouragement and example, not heavy-handed direction. 'As a producer, I feel it's my job to drop my ego. If I start stamping myself all over their recording, it's not their stuff anymore. I think some producers feel that their role is more important than [that of] the artist, and that's definitely not the case.'"
